INSTRUCTIONS AND RULES FOR ONLINE TEACHING *IMPORTANT*

Richard’s Online Teaching: Summer 2010

Hello and welcome to my online teaching program. This class will run from July 19th until July 30th 2010. Please read the rules and instructions for the class below.


Internet Message Board


• I have made a message board on the internet for this class. Every student must use this board to send me their work. The address is:

• On the website you will see the title ‘Your First Forum’, click on this and you will see the dates and topics for each class.
• Please read the instructions on the website and look at the printed worksheets I have given you for each class.


Work for each class


• Every class has 3 tasks you must complete:
Task 1: Questions
Task 2: Dialogue
Task 3: Essay

• Task 1: Questions. Answer the Comprehension Questions after reading about the topic.
• Task 2: Dialogue. Answer the Comprehension Questions after reading the dialogue.
• Task 3: Essay. Read Instruction and write an essay about the topic. Use Guided Questions to help you with ideas for the essay. Also use the internet to research your essay.

*IMPORTANT* your essay should be no longer than 5 paragraphs.


Sending me your work

• Log onto the message board https://richard.forumotion.com/forum.htm
• Click on ‘Your first forum’
• Find the date and topic of the lesson and click on it.
• Click on the ‘POSTREPLY’ button.
• Type or copy and paste your work in the box.
• Write your NAME (in English), your STUDENT NUMBER and your EMAIL ADDRESS at the end of your message.
• If I get your work by the deadline I will correct it and email it to your private email address in a MICROSOFT WORD 2003 file.

*IMPORTANT* YOU MUST SEND YOUR WORK BY THE 09.30am DEADLINE on the day of the lesson or it WON’T BE CORRECTED!!


IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FOR ME PLEASE POST THEM ON THE 'QUESTIONS FOR RICHARD' TOPIC ON THE MESSAGE BOARD AND I WILL ANSWER THEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
